Sleeping up to 10 guests, this modern home in central Newquay offers large groups a fabulous base for a beach holiday. Situated in the heart of the UK’s surfing capital, you and your loved ones can spend your days tackling the waves or relaxing on the sand in the sun, before retiring back to Protea House to chill out with a nice drink in the courtyard garden.

The contemporary home features a fantastic open plan living space that includes a modern kitchen, comfy lounge and smart dining area. The social hub of the home, you can relax on the sofas in front of the smart TV whilst your designated chef prepares meals in the well-equipped kitchen. And thanks to the woodburning stove, you and your group can stay toasty and warm all year round.

The fully equipped kitchen features a host of modern appliances, as well as a fantastic coffee machine for that all-important first brew of the day. Take your coffee in the lounge or step out through the double doors into the courtyard garden. Here you’ll find a BBQ (available from May to October) and some fantastic outdoor dining furniture, which is perfect for alfresco lunches in the summer sunshine.

When bedtime beckons, the house features four fab bedrooms, with space for two more on the sofa bed in the lounge. There is one spacious king size bedroom, two double rooms and one twin, meaning you have lots of flexibility for different group types. The bedrooms all make the most of minimalist design with whitewashed walls and charcoal touches, and all of the beds utilise of deep comfy bedding.

The family bathroom is modern and elegant and has a bath with a shower over it. This is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing soak in bubbles after a day on the beach. There’s also a separate shower room for added convenience.

If you want to venture out and explore, Newquay is well known for its beautiful beaches and surfing opportunities. With a number of fantastic beaches on offer, including the incredible Fistral Beach, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Watergate Bay is particularly good for anyone after stunning views and coastal walks.

Families will enjoy a day out at Newquay Zoo or Blue Reef Aquarium, while foodies can indulge in local seafood dishes at one of many restaurants in town. There are also some cracking pubs on offer!

Location

The house is right in the centre of town so benefits from being surrounded by all the local amenities you could need. This includes a wide selection of cafes, bars, restaurants, surf shops, convenience stores - the list goes on! That said, the house is at the end of Cheltenham Place which is a quiet street set back from the main high street.
